Schedule: 8-hour plus shifts; Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays
Work Location: In person – Multiple Locations, Cincinnati, NKY, Indiana
Loveland Excavating and Paving is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator. We are looking for a hard-working, dependable, honest, and responsible employee.
Operate heavy, motorized equipment used in earth moving/utility operations, including, but not limited to; dozers, loaders, excavators, and other equipment typically used on commercial and public site-work and utility projects. Project scopes consist of clearing, stripping topsoil, building pads, fill/export operations, grading of streets, sidewalks, drives, ponds, lawns, and parking lots.
Job Specific Requirements:
- Must be able to comprehend and follow the daily/weekly work plan.
- Must be able to read drawings and layout stakes.
- Must be able to operate dozer for bulk and finish grading operations with/without GPS.
- Must be self-motivated and work without constant supervision.
- Must adhere to Employee Safety Policy.
- Complete pre-inspection checklist prior to operating equipment.
- Grease machine on a daily basis.
- Keep cab and windows clean and free of debris.
- Clean tracks as required.
- Show up on time a ready to work at designated start time.
- Work 40 hours per week, including Saturday if necessary to meet schedule.
- Report to work, properly groomed, mentally alert and physically able to work.
Necessary Skills:
- 3-5 experience years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
- Expert knowledge of dirt cut/fills, compaction and final grading.
- Experience with specific grading, slopes, and GPS Equipment highly preferred.
- Can do attitude, willingness to be a team player, and be a positive influence on others.
- Ability to stay on task, multi-task, and pay attention to details.
- Be honest and willing to communicate with management and co-workers, verbally, by text, phone calls, etc.
- Able to lift or carry 50-75# on rough terrain.
- Appreciate other crew members and their roles.
- Time management and diligence are a must.
