Job Title : Experienced Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic
Type of Position : Full-time, Year-Round
Schedule : 5 days / week Winter, 4 days / week Summer
Early morning shifts required for snow removal
Weekends and Holidays will likely be required during Winter Season
Pay : $26.00 / hr - $29.00 / hr, depending on experience and qualifications

Summary
Provide Loveland Ski Area with maximum safe operational vehicle availability. Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMI) failure analysis and troubleshooting on buses, trucks, snowmobiles, small engines, heavy equipment and snowcats, ensuring resulting repairs to fleet vehicles. Operate heavy equipment for snow removal and otherwise. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.
Essential Functions
- Ensures all fleet vehicles are operational and safe :
- Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, replacing filters.
- Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
- Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
- Maintain shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and calling for repairs
- Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Focuses on safety through participation in training for equipment operation, use of appropriate PPE, and collaborating on daily and weekly job hazard analysis and documentation.
- Performs parking area snow removal duties, operating heavy equipment
