Weโre looking for a Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and play a strategic role on our senior team.
๐ผ About the Role:
This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who thrives in a small, collaborative team. Reporting to the Executive Director, youโll oversee budgeting, reporting, HR administration, and financial strategy. Youโll also support Board-level finance and investment committees, guide grant budgeting, and help ensure our sustainability and growth.
๐ฏ Key Responsibilities:
โ Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
โ Manage accounting operations (QuickBooks), payroll (Paychex Flex), and reconciliations
โ Track tuition, donations, grants, and assist with tuition assistance program
โ Serve as HR resource for staff; manage benefits and employee time tracking
โ Prepare monthly/quarterly financials for the Board and support audit and tax filings
โ Partner with Development team on grants and fundraising events
โ Lead the financial logistics at two fundraising events per year
โ What Weโre Looking For:
โ 5โ7 years of accounting/finance experience (nonprofit a plus)
โ Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
โ Experience with audits, reporting, and budget creation
โ Organized, detail-oriented, collaborative mindset
