We seek a skilled and detail-oriented Site Work Estimator/Project Manager to join our team and help drive our growth.
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Site Work Estimator/Project Manager to accurately estimate the costs of commercial site work projects and Project Manage awarded projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction work estimation and project management with focus on site work, including earthwork, grading, drainage, utilities, and other related construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed estimates for sitework projects.
- Perform takeoffs for earthwork, grading, paving, utilities, stormwater management, and other sitework components.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to gather pricing and scope of work details.
- Develop accurate cost estimates, considering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Assist in preparing bid proposals and ensuring that bids are submitted on time.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material and labor costs to provide accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and the operations team to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review contract documents and ensure all requirements are included in the estimate.
- Track and analyze project performance to ensure budget and timeline adherence.
- Provide support to project teams during the construction phase, including change orders and cost management.
- Ability to manage site work projects from issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders through completion.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sitework estimation or a similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of site development, including earthwork, grading, utilities, paving, and drainage.
- Proficient in estimating software such as ProEst, Buildertrend, or similar tools.
- Solid knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and technical specifications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in estimating.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Preferred. Not required with adequate experience).
