Parts Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel semi truck & trailer parts management. This role involves managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring that all parts are readily available to meet customer demands. The Parts Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations within the repair shop and contributing to overall vendor to customer management.

Duties

• Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and availability of parts.
• Procure necessary parts and supplies from vendors while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
• Ensuring timely delivery of parts.
• Maintain organized parts department management practices to facilitate efficient retrieval of parts.
• Collaborate with shop & owner to support mechanical knowledge requirements for repairs and maintenance.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify when key parts that are utilized routinely are in stock. Yet, possess the art of not overpurchasing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is necessary.
• MUST possess strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical specifications of parts.
• Proficient in data entry.
• Experience in inventory control practices and supply management is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
• CDL a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
