Job Title: Medical Assistant - OBGYN Clinic / Bilingual Preferred

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our OBGYN team. This role is crucial in supporting our physicians and providing exceptional care to women in all stages of life. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and administrative skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient intake, including obtaining and recording vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant health information.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness, stocking necessary medical supplies and equipment.
- Administer injections, collect lab specimens, and perform basic diagnostic tests as needed.
- Educate patients on healthcare topics, including prenatal care, preventive screenings, and treatment plans.
- Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-ups, and referrals to other healthcare providers.
- Respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support urgent care situations by providing immediate assistance during emergencies.
- Any other tasks assigned in the clinic as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in an OBGYN or women’s health clinic is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs, administering injections, and performing basic medical tasks.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and scheduling.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and teamwork.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
