What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundsman position at Lovering Tree Care?
At Lovering Tree Care the Tree Groundsman and Laborer is the backbone of our work. They keep our jobsites moving by receiving and clearing wood waste as it is produced, supporting climbers, crane operators, and arborists in assorted tasks, and expanding their personal skills and knowledge to contribute to the team.
This role can be a great fit for individuals who enjoy being an important support player, or it can be a role that launches you into other facets of tree operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Follows and supports all safety protocols.
- Assist with tree pruning, removal, and maintenance.
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment.
- Clear debris and brush from work sites.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Perform general ground work and site cleanup.
- Support the team with various tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in tree care or landscaping is great start, but not required.
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn basic tree care techniques and equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must hold a Valid driver’s license, with a good driving record, and have reliable transportation.

- You’ll learn a not working for us. We need individuals who have a willingness to learn and take direction.
- This job occurs outdoors in a variety of work conditions and environments. You must be comfortable working in all types of weather and terrain.
- We help keep the lights on in NH during big storms. We need team members who are available during off-hours on the occasions our community needs us to perform storm work,

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
