Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description
At Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores, we are seeking a skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, focusing on staff leadership, process management, and sales enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure facility safety, cleanliness, and maintenance through proper food safety procedures and equipment upkeep.
- Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager with task execution, scheduling, cash integrity, and daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
- Promote excellent customer service by working with the team to prepare and package orders in a timely manner.
- Analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for growth and improve profit margins.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager in talent acquisition efforts.
Requirements:
- Ability to work varied shift times, including days, evenings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- 1 year of restaurant management experience.
- 1 year of managing operations with annual sales volume of $1 million.
- 1 year of affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
- 1 year of supervising 5-10 employees.
- Intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

- Exceptional customer service, positive rapport building, expert salesmanship, and employee-vehicle deployment management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

Physical Demands:
Regular talking and hearing. Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required.
