About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, as well as providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues with diesel engines, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
- Assist customers with roadside services, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Provide preventative maintenance services to help prevent downtime and extend the life of vehicles.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, rotating shifts as needed to meet customer demands.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
