Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic at Loves Travel Stops & Country Stores, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues with diesel engines, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components. You will also assist customers with roadside services and provide preventative maintenance services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful as a Diesel Mechanic, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in close quarters
- Ability to work in various temperatures
- Medical card obtained through the Department of Transportation (paid by Loves)
- Familiarity with company safety policies and procedures
