Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers and drivers from all over the world.
As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues on commercial vehicles. Your duties will include:
- Assisting customers with roadside services
- Providing preventative maintenance services
- Troubleshooting and repairing wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
In addition to your technical skills, you will also be expected to:
- Work in close quarters and move heavy equipment (up to 75 pounds)
- Work in various temperatures
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
- Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's)
