Job Title: Operations Manager
Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As an Operations Manager, you will assist in overseeing daily operations to drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of employees and manage processes to grow sales and meet organizational goals.
Hands-on responsibility of multiple business operations including retail store, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, and truck care.
Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through regular safety checks and maintenance.
Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standards.
Assist the General Manager with task execution, schedule integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
Analyze financial reporting, including profit and loss statements, to identify opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with managers to recruit and develop talent.
Requirements:
2 years of experience in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
2 years of managing operations with annual sales volume of $2 million.
2 years of affecting budgets and P&L statements.
2 years of supervising 5-10 employees.
Intermediate level computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Skills and Demands:
Ability to work various shift times, including days, afternoons, evenings, nights, occasional overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.
Exceptional customer service, positive rapport building, expert salesmanship, and ensuring satisfaction by managing operations and employee deployment.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
Effective teamwork skills.
Physical Demands:
Regular talking and hearing.
Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds.
