The role of a Restaurant General Manager at Loves Travel Stops and Country Stores is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our high-volume restaurants. You will lead staff to provide exceptional customer service, manage processes, and execute strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
This position requires a strong leader who can drive sales growth, maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, and adhere to proper food safety procedures. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of restaurant management experience, with a proven track record of managing operations with an annual sales volume of $1M and affecting budgets and P&L statements.
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and intermediate level computer skills. The ability to lift/move items over 50 pounds or more is also required. Additionally, you must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen environment, adhering to proper food safety procedures.
- Sales Growth: Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation.
- Customer Service: Work alongside team members to coach and develop in preparing and packaging customer orders in a timely manner and to maximize customer service expectations.
- Financial Reporting: Understand financial reporting which includes profit and loss statements to affect business changes and capitalize on opportunities.
Requirements:

- Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
