What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Duty Mechanic - Retread Shop position at Loves Travel Stops & Country Store?
At Loves Travel Stops & Country Store, our Retread Maintenance Technicians are responsible for developing the skills necessary to work within a fast-paced and detailed environment. They will perform daily duties as assigned by the Retread Plant Manager, including inspecting new equipment prior to use on site, verifying daily safety checks of equipment, reassembling and testing components, and undertaking routine inspections of gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and frames.
As part of our team, you will have access to a wide range of specialist hand and power tools, including sockets, spanners, screwdrivers, drills, lifting gear, and welding/cutting equipment. You will also be responsible for completing daily, monthly, and yearly inspections and accurately recording inspection data.
