Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Care Cashier to provide excellent customer service, operate cash registers, and assist customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to learn and adapt to new situations, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Major Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, speak politely, and assist them with their queries
- Input work order information into the POS system and verify accuracy of services performed
- Operate a cash register, maintain an accurate and organized drawer, and collect and close out pending invoices
- Communicate effectively with fleet maintenance departments to obtain work authorizations and/or purchase orders
- Interface with multiple electronic platforms to ensure clear and concise communication
- Stock and face merchandise in the customer area, perform customer area & restroom maintenance, and complete weekly and monthly projects
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience: 6 months retail and cash handling experience preferred; trucking industry experience also preferred
- Skills: Ability to learn and operate a cash register, navigate safely in the service bay, and possess good verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, organization skills, a can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic
Working Environment:
- Frequently exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, and human waste
- Loud noise levels at times
