Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for pediatric patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and manage acute care situations effectively.
- Maintain accurate medical records using eClinicalWorks and other documentation systems.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Participate in sterile processing and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide support during cardiac catheterization procedures as needed.
- Engage in travel nursing opportunities when required.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (CT preferred).
- Experience in pediatric nursing.
- Familiarity with medical records management and acute care settings.
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining compassion for patients.
- Strong communication skills to interact with children and their families effectively.
- Previous experience in travel nursing is desirable but not mandatory.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in pediatric nursing.
