Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences.
- Monitor and document residents' physical and emotional health, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive living environment.
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed, ensuring the safety of all residents.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect residents' privacy and confidentiality.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of best practices in direct care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a group home or similar caregiving environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of care plans, patient observation techniques, and first aid practices is essential.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles and memory care strategies is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe upon hiring.
