Children: BOY; BORN AUGUST 2024
Compensation: $25 - $28 PER HOUR DOE
Schedule: MONDAY - FRIDAY; 9 AM - 5 PM
ABOUT THE FAMILY: This young, active Rochester family enjoys spending time with their new baby boy, traveling, and seeing friends and family. Both parents work full time in healthcare and tech. Mom works from home and will be working up stairs while the downstairs space will be reserved for the baby and caregiver. There are no pets in the home.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The #1 priority is the safety and supervision of the infant
- Basic needs such as; feeding, diapering, and naps
- General household help related to the baby such as; laundering is clothes, washing bottles, tidying the nursery and play area
- Age appropriate developmental activities like tummy time, reading, educational toys, walks in the neighborhood
- No screen time allowed when the baby is awake
- Keeping a log of your daily activities, meals, naptimes, diapering, milestones, and concerning behavior
- Administering medicine with parents' consent if necessary
- No transportation of the infant in a vehicle without prior permission
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proof of up to date immunizations including flu, covid, tdap vaccines
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience of caring for infants under a year whether that be as a nanny, daycare employer, or teacher
- College degree, preferably in early childhood education
- Fluent in English
- Current CPR and First Aid and remain up to date on certification.
- Car sear training is a plus
- Reliable transportation to work, ideally with a 30 minute commute
- Up to date on safest sleep and feeding practices
- Enjoys meaningful interactions with baby such as singing and silly dances
- Limit distractions and promotes a safe environment
- Confidentiality of the family information, including no taking photos of child unless to share updates with parent
