Assistant Teacher

Overview
The Assistant Teacher plays a vital role in supporting the educational development of students in a classroom setting. This position involves working closely with lead teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, particularly in early childhood development, and will be dedicated to fostering a nurturing atmosphere that encourages growth and learning.

Duties

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of students.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe and orderly environment conducive to learning.
• Engage with students during lessons, providing guidance and support in subjects such as Math and other curriculum areas.
• Help develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of children.
• Monitor student progress, providing feedback and encouragement to enhance their learning experience.
• Facilitate group activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and cooperation among students.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Assist with daily childcare tasks, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children in the classroom.

Skills

• Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate various teaching methods and materials.
• Knowledge of curriculum development strategies that cater to different learning styles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $10.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
