Job Summary: Loving Hand Home Care is seeking compassionate, energetic, and experienced Direct Care Workers to provide exceptional support to our Participants in the comfort of their homes. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities.
Job Title: Direct Care Worker
Location: Philadelphia County
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Participants with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and engage Participants in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure Participants receive nutritious meals.
- Remind Participants to take medications as prescribed and monitor Participant health and safety.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper techniques to ensure safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for Participants.
- Communicate effectively with Participants, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any changes in condition.
- Document services provided and report any concerns or observations to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in home care, personal care, or a related field preferred.
- Certification as a Personal Care Aide (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with diverse needs.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

- Must be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
