Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Financial Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial aspects of the company and play a key role in shaping its strategic direction. This leadership role oversees an accounting and clerical department. As the Director , your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems, and guiding departmental staff. Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all accounting operations including Client Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Payroll, and Revenue Recognition
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
- At least 3 years of experience as a Financial Director
- Experience processing payroll
- Experience with Medical Billing (processing and submitting claims)
- Proficiency in financial software applications, preferably Quickbooks
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
- Familiarity with financial concepts and regulatory reporting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field required, CPA preferred
