Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting clients safely when necessary.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while respecting resident rights.
- Help clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at home or in assisted living facilities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospice care practices and dementia care techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong understanding of resident rights and home health care standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting clients as needed.
