What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Low Temp Industries Inc?
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately process quotes, orders, in a timely manner.
- Estimate materials, equipment, and incidentals needed to execute a job.
- Quoting and executing projects while maintaining customer relations’
- Analyze blueprints and other documents to prepare cost, time, materials, and labor estimates.
- Study work orders required to determine type of service, such as lighting or power, demanded for execution of job.
- Compiles, maintains, and updates cost and estimating data.
- Interact with customer to ensure accuracy of bid documents.
- Review material and labor requirements to determine whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Confer with Estimating Project Manager Lead and manufacturing personnel on changes and adjustments.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, and work procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statues, and codes.
- Conform to all safety rules.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum five years of relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication & organizational skills
- Ability to read blueprints and understand the different types of materials.
- Computer & software proficiency
- Self-motivated/team player/ability to multi-task
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Military procurement & estimating a plus.
- Commercial construction job estimating a plus.
