What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead - Stockroom position at Low Temp Industries Inc?
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the shop supervisor with job assignments, maintaining product quality standards, monitoring and adjusting work flow to assure timely completion of work as it related to a section (i.e. grinding, welding, building, etc.);
- Assist in the development, training, motivation, and performance management of the shipping/receiving department personnel;
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding performance and issues requiring disciplinary action;
- Fill-in for supervisor during absence;
- Assist in managing timekeeping process;
- Troubleshoot problems;
- Perform a variety of complicated shop tasks;
- Suggest methods for improving production processes, equipment, and operating equipment;
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, and work procedures;
- Conform with all safety rules and use all required safety equipment;
- Ensure that work area is clean and free of hazards;
- Other support functions as required.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years relevant manufacturing experience
- Must have demonstrated leadership ability
- Able to perform and understand all manual tasks of the section
- Must be willing to work within an environment containing dust, and high levels of noise
- Must be active physically and able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time, sit, reach, climb and carry/lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Must be able to use a variety of tools
- Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends
- Ability to interpret blue prints and drawings
- Exhibits a positive attitude that promotes teamwork
- Understands the priority of the daily tasks
- Communicate well with all levels of personnel
- Possess good problem solving and computer skills
- Is resourceful
- Thorough knowledge of equipment.
