What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper/Maintenance position at Lowcountry Montessori School?
```Duties:```
- Preform general maintenance and repairs for daily operational tasks of the facililty.
- Perform general groundskeeping duties to maintain the appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces.
- Landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, and trimming lawns.
- Irrigate plants, trees, and grass to ensure proper hydration.
- Use power tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers and trimmers, to maintain outdoor areas.
- Utilize hand tools, such as shovels and rakes, for various landscaping tasks.
- Use power tools for repairs of the indoor and outdoor facility and general maintenance tasks
- Remove weeds, leaves, and debris from outdoor areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, parking lots, and other common areas.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Lift heavy objects such as concrete bags, blocks, equipment, etc. - Preform strenuous duties such as digging, shoveling, and carrying
- Must be comfortable using a ladder.
```Requirements:```
- Previous experience in groundskeeping and irrigation or related fields are preferred.
- Previous experience on basic maintenance and repairs is preferred
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques and practices.
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in extreme weather conditions including high temperatures, rain, or cold weather .
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
