What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Lowcountry Women's Specialists?
Associate degree in Medical Assisting is required. OB/GYN experience preferred. Bilingual is helpful.
Office is a fast-paced practice. The candidate will be required to assist physician with procedures; give injections or medications, answer phone calls, update patient charts, draw blood, perform laboratory tests and handle any emergencies that may arise.
Must be detail oriented, committed to accuracy, empathetic and easily adaptable. Good interpersonal skills are a must. Candidate must be able to multitask, prioritize and problem solve. Candidate must also be organized and able to collaborate with team members.
Candidate may be required to do basic laboratory tests, dispose of contaminated supplies and sterilize medical instruments. Additional responsibilities such as instructing patients about medications or special diets, preparing patients for procedures and removing staples.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
