Maintenance Mechanic II Role Summary
">This role plays an important part in maintaining our distribution center's operational efficiency. You will quickly and independently fix equipment issues across different areas, ensuring a seamless flow of goods and a well-running supply chain.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Independently diagnose, prioritize, plan, and execute repairs on complex equipment such as conveyors, rolling stock, or building systems.
- Maintain appropriate certification as required by state and local regulations.
- Evaluate equipment condition, determine repair needs, gather necessary tools and parts, and perform repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Lead and mentor team members by coordinating team efforts, overseeing work of less experienced mechanics, and providing training as needed.
- Develop expertise in specific areas, serving as an expert in at least two specialty areas (such as conveyors, rolling stock, or building systems) while maintaining proficiency in basic repairs across all areas.
Requirements
">- 4 years of Maintenance experience.
- Experience repairing and providing technical training in standard electrical/electronic voltages (51-599) volt systems and above.
- Able to work safely with corrosive materials and at heights of 20 feet.
- Certified to perform work at the Maintenance Mechanic level (if required by local regulations).
- Experience and/or certification with welding and fabrication.
- Available to work a set schedule that may be changed by management based on the facility's needs.
- Available to work morning, afternoon, night, or weekends depending on shift and overtime based on the facility's needs.
