Your ImpactOperating out of the 24 / 7 / 365 Global Security Operation Center (GSOC), the GSOC Specialist will leverage their expertise, experience, and knowledge to evaluate, prioritize and respond to events that may impact the company or its assets. The associate will be responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events, inbound call mitigation to process on-site incident reports, and event driven global notification services. Personnel who work in the GSOC must be able to exercise critical thinking and sound judgment to facilitate communications with impacted Lowe's associates and impacted business leadership; communicate accurately and efficiently; problem solve an array of potential hazards, threats, and crisis to ensure communication of effective warnings. The GSOC Specialist will demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain a high degree of professionalism and customer service on a routine basis, during crisis situations or under extreme pressure while multi-tasking on competing priorities. Work independently or collaboratively in a dynamic environment.What you will doGather and triage initial information for all internally reported or externally discovered incidents.Monitor the EverBridge system, social media, news, and vendor intelligence sources for events affecting Lowe's Company assets and associates, making independent decisions on, responses, escalation and provide timely communications when necessary.Serve as a key member within the GSOC receiving and exchanging vital information from other business units within Lowe’s and communicate information as necessary.Collaborates with business partners such as Command Center, Remote Monitoring Team, Information Security Group, Asset Protection and others as business needs arise.Demonstrates ability to operate and maintain a high degree of professionalism and customer service on a routine basis, during emergency situations or under extreme pressure.Follows established GSOC protocols and procedures for escalation when monitoring and responding to incidents impacting Lowe’s properties, associates, customers, and travelers.Coordinate and support emergency and crisis management assets providing a timely and coherent response to incidents as they arise.Monitor various alarms and CCTV system for situational awareness during a security incident.Completes special projects as assigned by global security leadership.Support the Global Security Intelligence as directed.Support the Travel Security Intelligence program as directed.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh School or GED1-3 years' experience operating in a Communications or Operations Center related operation1-2 years basic Microsoft Office Suite Skills1-2 years ability to navigate and utilize computer applications, systems, and find informationPreferred QualificationsAssociate's Degree specializing in emergency management, criminal justice, or other security related field1-3 years demonstrated experience in organizing and prioritizing large amounts of dataAbout Lowe’sLowe’s Companies, Inc.
