Manages the inventory scheduling and communication processes for retail stores and Supply Chain locations at Lowe's. Administers the accurate scheduling of approximately 2,000 events per year with scheduling conflict resolution and outside inventory service coordination. Communicates any changes to the schedule for the current and following year, as well as weekly changes as incurred. Maintains inventory dates across systems to ensure alignment amongst cross-functional business partners. Partners with Reset Team and Store Operations to resolve inventory schedule adjustments and conflicts, communicates changes as needed. Maintains, develops, and implements reporting, processes, and procedures. Administers and manages critical databases and reporting flows for department.
Uses data modeling, automated workflows and innovation to optimize the current scheduling process to more efficient and dynamic. Works with Manager and Sr. Inventory Analyst to optimize processes that determine the optimal inventory lead for inventory events based on location to minimize travel time and expense. Utilizes data and trend analyses to ensure we have adequate internal coverage and outside service support to ensure all inventories are completed within the rolling annual period, per compliance requirements. Will be expected to assist with other process optimization initiatives within the department, as requested and as scheduling processes become more optimized and efficient.
Organization, communication, and an innovative mindset will be key skills to ensure success in the role. Experience with automation and data analytic tools is preferred.
What you will do
Prepares and launches the full year physical inventory schedule, on a 2-year basis, to ensure all locations have inventories planned to meet compliance requirements (e.g., each store inventoried in a 14-month period).
Coordinates with Area Inventory Managers (AIMs) to ensure the optimal Physical Inventory Lead (PIL) is assigned to incur the least amount of travel cost.
Coordinates with the multiple Outside Inventory Services (OIS) companies to create and manage the schedule. Secure and managed headcount availability with OIS offices and eliminate conflicts to facilitate successful physical inventory events.
Manages and communicates schedule changes and manages PIL off requests to adjust assigned PIL, when necessary. Works with a sense of urgency on time-sensitive requests for inventory coverage.
Partners with Merchandising and Store Operations (e.g., resets, store initiatives) to identify scheduling conflicts and adjust schedule, as necessary.
Optimizes scheduling process utilizing data modeling and automation for efficiency and process enhancement.
Update and maintain scheduling databases.
Guide and train other administrative staff, as requested. Cross-train other team members on scheduling process.
Assist with other productivity and process optimization initiatives.
Backup responsibilities, when needed, for maintenance of accruals, invoices, penalties, as well as communicating / verifying with the OIS service providers and processing the journal entries.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
2-3 years of Superior organization and communication skills, as well as experience in process optimization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, IT or Business related
2-3 yearsof experience with Access, Power BI and VBA.
Experience with automation and data analytics / modeling tools, such as Alteryx.
2-3 years experience in retail and / or store operations management
