Job SummaryThe primary purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs and to deliver code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions. This includes developing, configuring, or modifying integrated business and / or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments. You will be part of an engineering team that is driven by product thinking and focused on delivering key outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Software engineer, you will contribute to all phases of product life cycle and write efficient code that conforms to architectural standards. Develop unit, integration, and regression test cases for the product. Collaborate with cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues and bug fixes. Enhance the product and automated tests to prevent re-occurrence of defects. Document processes and knowledge specific to the assigned product.Building UI using modern front-end technologies such as react JS, Node JS. And Redux ToolkitsAbility to test your application using state of the art tech like MSWjs, cypress, jest and many more open source-based tech stackLeveraging micro-frontend principles to build robust UI experiences for internal and external end-usersBuilding microservices using modern, cloud native technologies such as Java 8, Kotlin, Spring boot, Reactor, KafkaBuilding on a platform which is authored on open source platform of Kubernetes and comes with inbuilt metrics tracking capability powered by prometheus, grafana and log mining by ELK stackIdeate, build and publish reusable libraries to improve productivity across teamsUtilizing DevOps, CI / CD and build tools such as Jenkins, Git, Gradle, Spinnaker, JFrog etcWorking with testing frameworks such as JUnit, mockito, cucumber etcUsing cloud platforms such as GCP / AWSRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)2 years of experience in software development or a related field \2 years of experience in database technologies1 year of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field2 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization4 years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software4 years of experience with technical documentation in a software development environment2 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework2 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reportsExperience with application and integration middlewareExperience with database technologiesAbout Lowe’sLowe’s Companies, Inc.
