Your Impact
The primary purpose for the Senior Manager of Visual Space Management – Special Projects is to drive key company initiatives for the total box resulting in positive ROI for Lowe's. High level responsibilities include the ability to analyze data in comparison to space allocation by merchandising division and product category, consistency in layout/presentation, and improving the overall customer experience. This role is also responsible for leading a team of people who will have responsibility in creating these strategic plans down to the details of proper execution and follow up. Strategic cross functional collaboration and communication plays a key role to the overall success of project planning. Additional responsibilities include managing work flow processes that enables the team to have the time, resources, tools and information needed to accomplish the set initiatives.
What You Will Do
Drives key company initiatives involving visual space management strategy, new stores, and re-merch projects for the enterprise.
Collaborates on the creation, and implementation of compelling visual display space strategies to optimize brand recognition and maximize sales.
Ensures alignment with current promotions, seasonal campaigns, product launches, branding, and product placement by working cross-functionally with other areas of Merchandising, Marketing, and Store Operations.
Analyzes data in comparison to space allocation and utilizes insights to create consistency in store layout/presentation to improve the overall customer experience.
Audits and streamlines existing visual space management workflows and processes within the team to drive continuous improvement ensuring the team is operating at its highest efficiency.
Presents visual space management projects and insights to multiple levels of Senior Leadership.
Participates in annual capacity planning and resource modeling conversations using historical production data and forward-looking strategic plans.
Leads the core business balancing workload and resources due to leaves of absence, high priority projects or peak planning seasons.
Manages a team of Visual Space Planners responsible for the macro store environment design and planning in support of strategic company initiatives.
Coaches team to leverage sales productivity data, space productivity data, field insight data, presentation architecture/guidelines, store labor cost and competitor strategies to develop product category adjacencies by store.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Business, Architecture, Interior Design, Store Planning, Retail Management, Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, or related field and 8-10 Years 8 Years of Experience in the retail, store environment and/or merchandising platform
3-5 Years 5 Years of Experience in retail environment, store planning and design, merchandising, space/adjacency planning, data analytics, space analytics, cross-functional team/project lead work, program/project lead for complex presentation changes, experience in a role that requires strategy and planning.
3-5 Years 3 Years of Prior managerial/supervisor experience
3-5 Years 3 Years of Prior retail experience
