History/Social Studies Teacher (Grades 9-12)

Lowell Catholic High School is seeking a dynamic, full-time History Teacher (Grades 9-12). Responsibilities: Develop and implement engaging unit plans and instructional strategies that foster historical thinking and inquiry. Establish and uphold a positive classroom culture that promotes critical thinking, discussion, and respectful debate. Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student success. Adhere to departmental curriculum plans and school policies. Integrate technology and primary/secondary sources to enrich learning experiences. Support and contribute to the school's faith-based mission, with Campus Ministry experience or a desire to be involved preferred. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in History, Social Studies, or a related field from an accredited college or university (Master’s preferred). MA certification in History or Social Studies (Grades 5-12). Strong knowledge of historical content, pedagogy, and current teaching strategies.
