Skills and Objectives
Develop a love of and appreciation for music in students from PreK to 8th Grade.
Learn and apply basic music skills in a variety of ways using a variety of instruments
Work as a team with your colleagues in the Music and Specialists' Department.
Demonstrate expertise in classroom management.
Develop strong relationships with students where they see themselves as learners.
Provide a learning environment that supports student agency and growth.
Follow all school guidelines and regulations/procedures.
Take on additional duties as needed, including supervising students.
Grow the music program at LCCPS
Conduct parent and community outreach to support the music and specialist program.
Prepare and lead students in performances, both in LCCPS and in the community.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
MA Department of Education Certification required
Experience working in an urban setting a plus.
