Based in the heart of downtown Lowell, Massachusetts Lowell Community Health Center is currently seeking a Full-Time Nurse Community Health Worker/Care Coordinator.
With over 400 employees, the Health Center has expanded and relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility as of December 2012. The Health Center is a diverse, community-based health care organization. Job Description
The Security Staff will protect the Staff, Patients and Property of Lowell Community Health Center by performing routine security duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The assigned duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide excellent customer service to all staff and patients
Maintains watch of electronic surveillance system
Maintains security presence with constant walkthroughs of 161 and 135 Jackson St.
Responds to emergency calls as needed.
Deescalate situations quickly and effectively.
Communicate effectively with local authorities as needed.
Maintains security of unoccupied space owned by the Health Center.
Maintains all security equipment.
Assists staff as needed in matters of security and safety.
Notifies Maintenance Supervisor of needs for major repairs or unsafe conditions needing attention.
Carry cell phone as required for off duty coverage of security emergencies. Responds as needed per on call rotation schedule.
Provides ongoing training to staff via presentations both written and oral.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications
Previous security experience within a healthcare setting preferred. High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Employee will have high values regarding customer service and a positive attitude. Employee should be able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Must be reliable and punctual everyday scheduled. Must possess the ability to read and effectively communicate in English. Reliable transportation required.
