Based in the heart of downtown Lowell, Massachusetts Lowell Community Health Center is currently seeking a Full-Time Nurse Community Health Worker/Care Coordinator.
With over 400 employees, the Health Center has expanded and relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility as of December 2012. The Health Center is a diverse, community-based health care organization. Lowell Community Health Center programs have been recognized as national models. The Health Center was also named one of the top five health centers in the nation for excellence in cultural competency. The Health Center's employees speak 28 different languages and over 80 staff are trained in medical interpreting.

Job Description
Maintain Health Center buildings and grounds in a clean, orderly, and safe condition by performing the duties outlined within this job description.
Provide excellent customer service to all Staff and Patients
Maintains building systems as defined in equipment specific documentation such as:
Inspect and perform typical maintenance on all HVAC equipment. This includes regular filter changes, condenser cleanings, water filtration on evaporative cooling and oversight of building automation system.
Weekly testing of building generator and quarterly testing of automatic transfer switches.
Inspections of all life safety equipment to include: monthly inspection of fire extinguishers, monthly inspection of emergency lights, weekly testing of fire pump, quarterly inspection of sprinkler system (with subcontractor).
Maintains building to uphold an excellent state of repair by:
Performing minor repairs to woodwork, plumbing fixtures, replacement of ceiling tiles, drywall, and painting.
Audit of lighting package to include replacement of lights and/or ballasts as needed.
Electrical repairs including replacement of outlets and light switches.
Audit of plumbing fixtures to include replacement of batteries in flushometers/faucets and exercising of valves as needed.
Completes work orders as needed or assigned
Cleans snow and debris from property. Spreads ice melt.
Notifies supervisor of needs for major repairs or unsafe conditions requiring attention.
Responds to after hours emergencies as required.
Understands and exercises proper use of personal protection equipment and hazardous materials remediation.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in maintenance field including in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, general maintenance and repair procedures. High school diploma or equivalent is desired. Employee will have high values regarding customer service and a positive attitude. Employee should be able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Must be reliable and punctual. Must posses the ability to read and effectively communicate in English. Extensive record-keeping is required, strong computer skills are needed. Reliable transportation required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee’s physical effort may require the ability to stand, walk frequently, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladder, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and /or move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 lbs.
Will work both inside and outside, alone or as member of a crew. Will be exposed to noise, oil, grease, bio-hazardous waste and extreme temperatures.
