What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Counselor - 50% (2025-2026 school year) position at Lowell Elementary School?
The mission of Lowell Graded School is to provide a safe, challenging, and engaging learning environment that promotes achievement and is tailored to individual student needs.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct counseling sessions with individual students concerning academic, personal, emotional, social, classroom related and family related frustrations and problems.
•Meet with small groups of students to provide counseling in such areas as: developing self-confidence, understanding others, acting responsibly, making decisions, learning to resolve personal problems, and understand personal development.
•Act as a resource in the referral and IEP development process and attend meetings as needed. Will coordinate activities of contracted mental health services.
Candidates must have or be eligible for appropriate Vermont licensure as a School Counselor (3-64).
Salary & Benefits: As per the Teachers’ Negotiated Agreement
