Lowell Inc. is looking for a Calibration Technician to join our team. Responsibilities include on-site calibration and repair support on Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment (IMTE), create and manage calibration reports, and assist in external and internal audits. The position requires the application of approved procedures and measurement uncertainties when calibrating IMTE. Candidates should also be proficient in assessing and developing effective calibration practices and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO13485:2016, FDA CFR Title 21 Section 820, and other relevant standards and regulations for medical device manufacturers. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Dimensional Metrology and Calibration.

Calibration Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Calibrate micrometers, calipers, indicators, torque gages, gage pins and other IMTE equipment as necessary.
- Help determine the correct measurement tools and equipment needed for the job specifications.
- Coordinate Calibrations with outside service providers and repairs on inspection equipment.
- Complete corrective and preventive action investigations and implementations related to the calibration system
- Maintain and establish the calibration schedule electronically using GAGEPack.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on company inspection equipment.
- Maintain an organized calibration laboratory and maintain an accurate filing system of calibration records.
- Continuously improve the calibration system.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Other duties as assigned including quality inspection and documentation review as needed.
Calibration Technician Skills and Experience:
- Five years of experience in Dimensional Metrology and Calibration.
- Experience with Gage control and scheduling software (GAGEPack preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with advanced understanding of Excel.
- Demonstrates good organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to analyze and make decisions independently.
- Proven ability to coordinate new quality initiatives while maintaining daily responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
