What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Specialist position at Lowell Urgent Care?
Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. We believe that the first welcoming face is SO important to helping create a positive patient experience. We also require a strong background in medical office or healthcare experience, since a lack of healthcare understanding is a serious hindrance.
*Bilingual in SPANISH/English is an absolute requirement*. Your interview will be conducted in Spanish to confirm Spanish fluency.
We may be willing to negotiate hourly rate depending on your previous experience and competitiveness as an applicant.
Duties:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional manner. Assist with check-in and accurately enter patient demographic information.
- Manage incoming and outgoing emails, faxes, and phone calls.
- Schedule patient appointments appropriately
- Accurately take patient payments and perform patient check-out
- Perform basic clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents
- Collaborate with medical assistants and healthcare providers (we are all part of the same team).
- Handle patient inquiries and maintain professionalism with disgruntled patients.
Experience:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Knowledge of medical office procedures or healthcare is required
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is required (we see many Spanish-speaking patients)
