Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Quote Analyst with AI expertise to join our dynamic team to provide quotations to customers by utilizing technical and financial knowledge for the preparation of quotation for projects and programs. The successful candidate will gather information from different business units to develop manufacturing cost proposals and collaborate with internal business partners, leveraging the costing models to provide timely, accurate, and dynamic information to assist in decision making. Communicates and practices pricing strategies in support of ongoing sales efforts.
Duties:
- Design, implement, and optimize AI and machine learning models to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Maintain the accuracy of quoting models and information in the operating system to ensure accurate cost and quoting programs.
- Work with material quote and engineering resources and/or support quotation of materials and labor quotes in order to obtain the information required to deliver a quality quote on time.
- Coordinate with Business Development and customer to determine and/or clarify project requirements to ensure quality output.
- Follow up and report on outstanding quotations to improve quotation process and measure effectiveness.
- Utilize various data mining and analysis methods to identify optimization opportunities.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain high code quality standards.
- To deploy models or model ensemble and ensure sustainability and maintenance overtime.
- Execute ad-hoc costing studies and analyses when needed.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, or related field
- Proven experience for transforming and analyzing data from multiple sources to drive business insights.
- Python coding skills: Responsibilities to create predictive models and automate them in production.
- Proven ability with statistical methods and advanced modelling techniques (e.g., SVM, Random Forest, Bayesian inference, graph models, NLP, Computer Vision, neural networks, etc.)
- Proficiency in statistics, predictive modeling, and statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation of results.
- Working experience with data science toolkits such as Matplotlib, Pandas, NumPy, and GitHub.
- Experience with visualization tools and data spreadsheets including Power BI and Excel.
