LCRA is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and energetic individual to join our team to manage our transmission line and substation construction portfolio. If you enjoy the being outdoors, this job will provide you the opportunity to travel across Texas to various construction sites throughout the week. We are a team that succeeds by collaborating, problem solving, and communicating in order to complete our growing capital plan!
You will be trusted to:
- Provide onsite review of Transmission line and/or Substation construction progress and monitors contractors performance
- Create the Statement of Work for construction services
- Ability to lead and coordinate with various departments across the LCRA
- Schedule and lead construction status meetings with the project team
- Read and interpret construction drawings, bid documents and engineering specifications
- Conduct critical thinking that identifies risks and develops solutions
- Work well independently and in a team environment
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Work independently with minimal guidance
You qualify with:
- Twelve or more years of experience in construction management relating to the area of construction specialization required to perform the job, including four or more years leadership or other relevant contractor management experience.
- A degree(s) in construction, engineering, project management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver’s license
