LCRA's Asset Engineering group currently has an opportunity for an experienced, dedicated, professional that will contribute to the full implementation of the essential infrastructure of Texas in an organization that strives to improve the quality of life of the communities we serve. Your role will directly support our asset unitization process that ensures LCRA meets it financial and regulatory goals. *** This is a hybrid position, working in one of our Austin, TX offices a minimum of 2 days a week with the option to work 3 days remotely. ***

You will be trusted to:

  • Read and interpret project charters, budget estimates, engineering drawings, and construction documents to identify and resolve new asset values and ownership.
  • Perform office research related to asset listings, historical engineering drawings, equipment databases, microfilm, inventory, electronic document management system (EDMS) records to identify removed assets.
  • Field research as required from time to time may involve various physical activities. Prepare fixed capital unit (FCU) lists.
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control role related to engineering documents and processes.
  • Prepare sophisticated reports related to projects, work plans, equipment, and assets.

*** This is not a CAD drafting position. It is reviewing/interpreting drawings and technical documents prepared by others***


You qualify with:

  • Three or more years of experience interpreting technical drawings/documents and performing technical analysis; drafting using computer-aided design software, performing engineering design or other relevant experience. A degree in computer-aided design, engineering technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license if traveling independently to various locations (substations, power plants, water systems, etc.)
