Does working outdoors in spectacular park settings and delivering recreational and educational programs to the world excite you? If so, our Parks Programs Coordinator I position with LCRA Parks may provide a perfect seasonal opportunity!
We offer an innovative summer day camp that strives on providing amazing experiences to engage youth with nature: from arts and crafts to rafting and zip lining. This position will be responsible for facilitating summer camp activities and holding the standard of our parks high to achieve our goal, of being the most dynamic park system in the nation. We want you to spend your summer with LCRA Parks and enhance the lives of Central Texans we serve!
You will be trusted to:
- Assist with the delivery of recreational programs including hiking, biking, zip lining, ropes course, kayaking, rafting, UTV tours and more.
- Assist with the delivery of educational programs for schools and other groups.
- Develop and update activities and programs as necessary.
- Develop, construct and maintain program equipment and facilities.
- Prepare, organize and clean up activity sites.
- Conduct pre-program orientation with participants on program and safety rules. Implement effective safety measures when necessary.
- Conduct pre-program inspections of equipment. Clean and store equipment after programs.
You qualify with:
- One or more years of relevant experience.
- Driver's License
