At LCRA, our Water Quality team is looking for an OSSF Water Compliance Specialist! As a compliance inspector, this role supports our mission of protecting water quality. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our company adheres to all water-related regulations and standards with a high caliber of attention to detail. The candidate will serve a critical role in daily inspections for compliance related matters and other inspection related tasks. You will be trusted to:
- Conduct permit reviews in accordance with TCEQ and LCRA Rules.
- Conduct inspections of new and existing OSSFs to ensure compliance with applicable rules.
You qualify with:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering plus two or more years of experience in water quality protection, environmental program administration or environmental compliance. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Driver’s license.
You are a great fit with:
- Registered Sanitarian license in the State of Texas
- Knowledge of OSSF system design standards, functions, and schematics
- Knowledge of organizational and state inspection procedures required for incumbents
- Knowledge of evaluation of soil analysis and soil mechanics, including acceptable treatment and disposal options
- Required to obtain Site Evaluator License within six months of employment.
- Required to obtain Designated Representative License with six months of employment
NOTE: This position requires a Designated Representative License and a Site Evaluator License.
