Workforce and Career Services is looking for a work study eligible Food Pantry Assistant to join their team.

The Workforce and Career Services Food Pantry Assistant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and helps maintain all pantry standards and guidelines. Students that apply for this position should be friendly and approachable.

  • Provide information to students, staff and faculty
  • Check in students on Navigate and provide excellent customer service
  • Follow all applicable food handling and safety guidelines
  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the food pantry
  • Sort food items and restock shelves
  • Store grocery and donated items in an appropriate manner
  • Ability to lift up 20 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Other duties assigned

 Food Pantry hours are Monday thru Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 10am-5pm

A valid Washington State food handlers card is required and can be obtained after hire

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to to organize and manage multiple tasks at onceÂ
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism via all forms of communication.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office applications.
  • Be eligible for Work Study through financial aid, and be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
