What are the responsibilities and job description for the LS Long-Term Substitute Teacher position at Lower School?
Fort Bend Christian Academy (FBCA) is accepting applications for a Lower School Long-Term Substitute Teacher who will teach all subjects in a self-contained classroom to be scheduled for an extended period during the 2025-2026 school year.
FBCA is a private, college-preparatory school serving Pre-K through grade 12 with over 850 students. Located on a beautiful 35-acre campus in Sugar Land, Texas, FBCA provides a strong academic and spiritual foundation, where students learn to think critically in their studies with a foundation that is grounded in a Biblical worldview.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree is required. Preference will be given to candidates with at least five years of teaching experience. The long-term substitute teacher will follow all FBCA policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Lesson planning that integrates biblical principles
- Instruction in all core subjects (Bible, ELA, Social Studies, Science, Math, and Phonics)
- Classroom management consistent with Christian values
- Grading and assessment of student progress
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Participate in school chapel and spiritual formation activities
- Additional duties as assigned by the Lower School leadership team
