Job Description:
Purpose: The Software Engineering Manager will be tasked with leading a team, managing 1:1s and performance reviews, developing software applications, and initiating new techniques and technologies for software development. This position will be a code-contributing manager, work closely with your team, other development teams, and senior management to prioritize, schedule work, and deliver high-quality software.
What you’ll do:
  • Develop software applications based on business requirements
  • PR Review code submitted by developers on your team and other teams
  • Maintain software applications and make enhancements according to project specifications
  • Participate in requirement analysis, design, development, testing and implementation activities
  • Propose new techniques and technologies for software development and architecture.
  • Build test suites for unit testing, integrations testing, and system testing, to evaluate application functionality
  • Ensure to complete the assigned development tasks within agreed estimates and clearly communicate when estimates need to be adjusted.
  • Work in compliance with coding standards and best practices
  • Provide assistance to other Developers as needed
  • Review business requirements and recommend changes to develop reliable applications
  • Develop coding documentations and other technical specifications for assigned projects when asked
  • Analyze and resolve development issues accurately
  • Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering team
  • Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
Who you are:
  • At least 5-10 years of software engineering experience
  • Proven expertise in software architecture, patterns and practices
  • Demonstrate Empathy in management, mentorship, and communication
  • Implement new ideas and solve complex technical problems and design issues with clearly written code.
  • Drive adoption of advanced cloud-based features and capabilities where it makes sense
  • Interact with development teams providing mentoring and guidance (through code reviews, design reviews, best practices and technical vision) while being still very hands-on and capable of deep diving into implementation details

Pay: $165k - $205k

Salary : $165,000 - $205,000
