Overview
The Safety / Asset Protection Intern will assist the Safety / AP support team in managing the background check platforms (criminal and substance abuse) as well as various other safety / AP related projects within the company. Responsibilities will include criminal background review and communication, administering pre-employment testing programs for substance abuse, assisting with digital and print creation of active assailant training materials, supporting project management of the Lowes Foods refrigeration monitoring program, data entry of store food safety metrics, CCTV (security camera) system administration and producing digital records of store CCTV incident data.
Responsibilities

- Background check administrative programming for criminal backgrounds and substance abuse testing. Weekly review of applicants against hiring standards.
- Assisting with production of digital and print training programs.
- Weekly data management support of the company refrigeration monitoring project.
- Data management of store food safety inspections and audits.
- Assist in reviewing store CCTV footage and cataloguing incidents for record keeping.

Qualifications
- Experience with grocery eCommerce or digital user experiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing priorities and project deadlines.
- Effective communication, planning, problem-solving, organizing skills.
