As a Bedcare Lead, you will be responsible for supervising a team of bedcare technicians, ensuring high-quality results, and maintaining client satisfaction with our landscaping services.
What You'll Be Doing As a Bedcare Lead
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team of technicians.
- Lead a team of technicians responsible for maintaining garden beds, including planting, weeding, mulching, pruning, and soil management.
- Schedule Spring/Fall clean ups.
- Ensure all trucks, crew members, and equipment are prepared and ready for daily operations.
- Oversee the proper care of plantings and garden beds, ensuring plants are healthy, beds are clean, and aesthetic standards are met.
- Interact with clients to understand their landscaping needs, provide recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and manage work schedules for the Bedcare technicians, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular quality checks on completed bedcare tasks to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery.
- Train new hires and ongoing staff in best practices for bedcare, including safety protocols, plant care, and equipment use.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are well-maintained and that materials (mulch, soil, plants) are available as needed for the team's work.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations while performing landscaping duties.
- Lead Holiday Lighting.
- We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in horticulture and is eager to learn. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are more important to us than experience.
- High school diploma
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License
- Strong knowledge of plants, soil types, mulching, and general horticulture practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite and willingness to learn Dynascape Manage 360.
- A willingness to learn and continuously develop your skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues related to plant health, soil quality, and bed maintenance.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields (e.g., pesticide applicator license 3.0).
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively manage your schedule.
