Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Activities Director to join our team. The Activities Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a variety of recreational, cultural, and social programs for our community. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage and motivate participants of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of activities, including events, classes, excursions, and social gatherings.
- Develop and manage schedules for activities and ensure proper staffing.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
- Promote activities to participants and the community through various marketing channels.
- Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure quality and effectiveness, making improvements as needed.
- Create and manage budgets for activities and events.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all participants.
- Supervise activity staff and volunteers, providing training and support as necessary.
- Maintain relationships with local vendors, performers, and community partners.
- Provide reports on activity participation and program outcomes to management.
· Serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the facility as appointed by the Administrator.
· Participate in regularly scheduled reviews of resident discharge plans.
· Evaluate and implement recommendations from established committees as they may pertain to activity services.
· Attend department head meetings, etc., as scheduled, or as may be called.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning, recreational activities, or a related role preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to cover activities
