Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of maintenance operations within the facility
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify and address any maintenance needs or issues
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols in the maintenance department
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to operations
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices are implemented
Qualifications:
- Prior Long Term Care experience is required
- Knowledge with DOH policies procedures and surveys
-Knowledge of Life safety
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or degrees preferred
- Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a similar industry or facility
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and other building infrastructure
- Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and inventory management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team of technicians
- Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage systems and safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement appropriate solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must have knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be knowledgeable in the building codes and safety regulations.
